Practical Support for Life with Neurodegenerative Conditions

What is Parkinson's Lifestyle Management?

Parkinson’s Lifestyle Management specialises in providing authoritative, experience-based and practical ideas, strategies and guidance to help people living with Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative conditions navigate the many challenges of day-to-day life.

We recognise that there are many medical websites that explain the science behind these conditions, the medications and medical treatments available, and the healthcare professionals who can support you.

Parkinson’s Lifestyle Management takes a different path.

We focus on the practical “how to” of everyday life. We provide guidance to help you manage the challenges you face today while preparing for the changes you may experience as your condition progresses. Our aim is to help you anticipate potential changes, adapt to new challenges and find practical ways to maintain your independence, confidence and quality of life.

Think of us as your “Anticipation How-To Guide”.

Many everyday activities can require additional consideration when living with Parkinson’s or another neurodegenerative condition. Planning ahead can make a meaningful difference, helping you feel more prepared and confident as your needs change.

How will you manage travelling by plane? Can you continue enjoying meals at your favourite restaurant? What changes might make your home or bathroom safer and easier to navigate? How can you maintain your independence and continue doing the things that matter most to you?

These are the practical, real-life questions we help you explore.

By anticipating potential challenges and preparing before changes become necessary, you can make informed decisions, adapt your lifestyle and continue living life with greater confidence and independence.

Anne Clark

Anne Clark joins Parkinson’s Lifestyle Management with both professional experience in building online communities and resources, and a deeply personal understanding of the impact Parkinson’s can have on individuals and the people who love and care for them.

Parkinson’s has touched Anne’s own family. She has supported and witnessed the experiences of an aunt and uncle who both lived with Parkinson’s, as well as family friends navigating the challenges that come with the condition.

Through these experiences, Anne has seen firsthand that Parkinson’s does not affect just one person.

Behind every person living with Parkinson’s is often a partner, family member or carer who is also navigating uncertainty, change, worry and the constant pressure of trying to anticipate what may be needed next.

Anne understands all too well the questions and concerns carers can carry. How will things change? What support will be needed? How can we help someone maintain their independence and quality of life? And how do carers continue to support the people they love while also managing the emotional and practical pressures they face themselves?

These experiences have given Anne a strong appreciation for the importance of practical information, shared experiences and supportive communities.

With more than a decade of experience supporting businesses, developing online education and building communities, Anne is coming onboard to help Parkinson’s Lifestyle Management expand the resources, education and support available to people living with Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative conditions, as well as their families and carers.

Working alongside Bill, Anne will help bring practical knowledge and real-world guidance to a wider community through educational resources, online content, community support and new initiatives designed to help people feel more informed, prepared and connected.

Anne believes that no one should feel like they have to navigate the challenges of Parkinson’s alone.
